Using Particles
This session was a introduction to particles with in maya, this was a simple task that involved creating a plane than altering the geometry of that plane to give the particles something to react with, then add in some particles that would fall onto this plane, below are the results of this session.
Using Emitters
The next part was to create a emitter, this is a object that produces particles based on a range of settings for this task we were given a model to create a scene with and needed to add a emitter.
The model we were given was a character and the challenge was to create a scene where this character is peeing against a wall, this was relatively simple to achieve be creating a emitter that emitted directly away from the character towards the wall. Then to set up the particles it emitted to streaks rather than points then simply changed the colour of them.

Fireworks
The next part was a challenge to recreate a firework using emitters and particles, I did not achieve this during the lesson but used a similar technique in my final assignment scene.
In my scene I have a character smash another character’s head and have the head explode, this is where I will use this technique to create a blood spray.
